Research and Innovation are the two combined in a dedicated department to translate its process. The R&D teams conduct research in partnership with laboratories, universities and French Ivy Leagues, and then apply the results of this work to our areas of expertise to innovate.Philosophy and sociology thus work together unabashedly in research into IT or artificial intelligence.
How can we ensure continuity of technologies in the tools we use ? How do we design solutions that interconnect, maintain, evolve and integrate into existing systems by ensuring regulatory compliance and confidentiality ? How can we invent new electoral processes with digital ? How can we provide support to health care using artificial intelligence ?
These are all questions on which the R&D teams work, on some thirty active programs, with the most prestigious laboratories: Institut national de recherche en sciences du numérique (INRIA), Institut de recherche en informatique de Toulouse (IRIT), etc.- universities and French Ivy Leagues at the cutting edge of these topics: Montpellier, Toulouse, Sorbonne, Université technologique de Troyes, Ecole des Mines d’Albi, Ecole normale supérieure, Sciences Po Paris, Télécom Sucom and others.
Berger-Levrault relies on a multidisciplinary scientific council, chaired by the philosopher Milad Doueihi and composed of in-house leaders and personalities with internationally recognized work.Researchers, professors, PhD students and undergraduate students meet to discuss the digital transformation and its impacts on society; the results of their work feed into all research programs.
As for all our activities, we bring together international entities involved in research.For example, shared subjects were identified in Spain and an agreement was signed with the University of Barcelona.In Morocco, work on rebuilding the water network is being devised in collaboration with the University of Fez.In Canada, discussions are underway with Toronto researchers on topics related to local activities.The R&D culture at Berger-Levrault has been activated.
